Updated information regarding A Level results this year

Dear students and parents,

Overnight the Government announced it has changed the criteria by which A Level results will be awarded this year. The full statement can be found here. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/triple-lock-for-students-ahead-of-a-level-and-gcse-results

This so-called ‘triple lock’ approach means students could accept their calculated grade, appeal to receive a valid mock result, or sit autumn exams to ensure the achievements of young people are recognised.

We understand this is an anxious time for you and are currently working through the implications of this last-minute change. Detailed information will be ready for each student tomorrow.

Please be assured that we have the best interests of our students at heart and will work with you over the next few days to ensure you understand the situation and have the best advice and support when deciding on next steps and future pathways.

We will continue to monitor developments and keep you updated. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this situation.
