More than £700 was raised for a Children’s Cancer Charity by the KSA’s Got Talent event which showcased the talent of pupils from Reception classes through to Year 6.
An array of talented individuals and groups took to stage in front of a packed auditorium and two independent judges, the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr Judy Derbyshire and musician and songwriter from Raunds, Rhys.
Twelve final acts performed on the night and they sang, danced, performed gymnastics and played musical instruments whilst all competing to be crowned the talent contest winner.
Other performances during the show included the Reception classes performing a pirate song and dance, a modern version of Three Little Pigs performed by the drama club, a dance routine from Miss Tibbs dance group and dancing through the decades bought to the audience by members of KSA staff.
The whole event was held as a fundraiser on behalf of Year 5 pupil, Tyler Hull  (pictured above) who was diagnosed with Leukaemia before Christmas but is now recovering well.
Tyler asked his school to help him raise money for Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group after all the help and support that he and his family had received throughout his treatment.
The winner was Year 5 dancer and gymnast, Angel-May Johnson. 
Tyler, in a prepared speech, said how he would like to thank everyone involved and for their ongoing support. He also added he couldn’t wait to get back to school.
The show raised a total of £712 for CCLG, £348 from ticket sales and £364 from donations on the night.
Primary Phase Principal, Mrs Jo Fallowell also thanked all the pupils that performed and congratulated all the staff that been involved in the organisation of the show.
The Primary Phase is planning to make the talent show an annual event.
