Trust students enjoy Year 9 sports festival

Around 250 students took part in the latest Year 9 sports festival held at Brooke Weston Academy. Up to 50 students from each Trust secondary school joined in dodgeball, handball or orienteering.

The event is the latest in a series of Trust-wide sports festivals that are aimed at increasing collaboration and participation for all our students, from novices to elite athletes.

Trust Director of Sport, Kirstie Smith said: ‘Today is all about participation, teamwork and involving students who might not ordinarily get picked for sports teams. It is all about socialising with people from their year group across all of our secondary schools and picking up new skills. They are all definitely enjoying it.’
