Purple class in Year two at Peckover School have just won the Primary Term Times magazine "Design a garden competition".

The prize will include a prestigious plaque and plants for the school garden.

Class teacher Mrs Horvath said: "The class spent a lot of time designing their own school gardens whilst helping me to create a garden area outside the Year two classes.

"We got the idea to enter when the children took part in growing daffodils for the Marie Curie trust and so loved seeing their daffodils grow into flowers."

The magazine said that there were so many lovely entries that they gave the prize to the school rather than an individual.
