Peckover Primary unveils its amazing gardens!

Here's a link to the pictures of the official opening of Peckover Primary's amazing gardens which they have been working on as part of 'Wisbech in Bloom.'

Students, staff, parents and lots of volunteers have helped to transform an uninspiring area of land into specially themed outdoor classrooms with planned planting schemes and lots of artefacts. The garden was officially opened by Summer, whose aunt was teacher Penny Slater, a valued and much missed teacher at the school, who has a special pink-themed garden dedicated to her memory.

Thanks to everyone who put in so much work to make the gardens a reality, including the many nurseries who donated plants, everyone who got their hands muddy or made the stunning models. Finally a huge thank you to Lou Tombleson who was instrumental in the planning, planting and project management - it was an amazing feat to complete in a very short space of time!

A more detailed story will follow about  the garden and its development. In the meantime a full gallery of photos of the opening is available here.
