Introducing the Trust’s new Operations Support Officer

Hannah Clarke, who is the Trust’s new Operations Support Officer enjoys her job as she likes making a difference to people’s lives.

Hannah joined the Trust team two months ago. Her newly-created role supports the work of the operations function which facilitates and streamlines activities and legislation in our schools.

Hannah said: ‘A lot of my work at the moment is focused on compliance using ‘Every’ software that tracks and monitors compliance across all the schools in the Trust. The schools have taken to it really well and it facilitates discussion between the school and the Trust so that is really important.’

She is also monitoring Handsam, an online training package program that our employees complete to ensure that they are up to date with key issues such as safeguarding, health and safety and Prevent training. Hannah is also developing an online induction course to introduce new to the Trust, its schools, aims and ethos.

Hannah has a psychology degree and, although she worked for another employer for two and a half years, she has made the right move to the education sector: ‘You have that chance to make a difference to people’s lives. I get more fulfilment out of my day than I did previously. Each day I feel I have achieved something and it is going to make a difference.

‘The Central Team and Principals have been really welcoming and I enjoy working alongside Senior Operations Manager Tim Laws on current and forthcoming projects. As someone who has not worked in education before you don’t think about everything that goes into running a school. It is eye-opening seeing everything that happens behind the scenes. It is all positive working for the Trust and I am really enjoying it.’
