BWA's mufti day collection for Teenage Cancer Trust

Brooke Weston Academy's groundsman, Paul Twamley is set to smash his fundraising target for the Teenager Cancer Trust, after a mufti day collection at the school raised an unprecedented £1,425.55, which will be donated to the cause.
Paul had pledged to raise £2,000 by taking part in the London Marathon later this month and doing other charity events. So far a raffle has totalled £156.10 and he is also planning to wash around 40 staff cars for a minimum donation of £5 per vehicle. However, the generosity of BWA's staff and students has meant that he should comfortable exceed his target as the total raised at BWA was a record for a non-uniform day collection.
Paul said: 'Thanks to everyone who has donated, either to the mufti day collection, via the raffle, sponsorship or by signing up for the car wash. The Teenage Cancer Trust does sterling work so I wanted to raise awareness and funds for them. Training for the marathon is going well and Rodgers have kindly donated a bus so that friends and supporters can go for a day in London. There are still a few places left for £8 a ticket, so if anyone wants to come along then please get in touch.'
