More TCA success stories

Here are more success stories from some of our hardworking and talented student at Thomas Clarkson Academy.

Jasmin Tura (left) said she was most happy with her maths result (7), along with three 6s in English literature, biology and chemistry and 5s in history, physics and French. She said: ‘I didn’t really know what to expect. I was shocked when I opened my results! I think what helped was that we had lots of one-to-one support from teachers if you needed extra help with anything.
I’m staying at TCA to do A Levels in biology, maths and psychology.’

Naomi Pleasants  picked up an 8 in maths, five 7s, a 6 and a 5. She is staying on at TCA to study for A Levels in maths, further maths and history, with plans to study maths at university. She said: ‘I was surprised and shocked when I opened up my results. I put all I could into my revision. I really focussed and put the work in.’

Hayden Hunnable  who achieved three 8s in biology, chemistry and physics, a 7 in maths and three 6s, said his mock exam results spurred him into action.
He said: ‘On the first day in Year 11, I walked into my first lesson and thought, ‘”I’ve got to do this”. I’m really happy with my results and everything I have got is down to my hard work. I know I did my best – I revised every night for a long time and I had 12 revision posters up in my bedroom! I think I’ll celebrate by sleeping!’

Executive Principal Anne Hill and Associate Principal Richard Scott congratulating Hayden and Naomi on their excellent results.
