Oakley Vale Primary School is running its first ever ‘Collaboration Week’ where year groups are joining together for five days of fun activities across a range of topics.
To round off their National Walk to School week Year 6 students at Beanfield Primary lined the pavements with their hand-made road safety posters and chanted slogans at passing traffic to make them aware of the dangers of speeding or parking too close to the school.
Beanfield Primary School has raised more than £250 by running a health snack bar, as part of an ongoing initiative to raise money for Lakelands Hospice. It was just one of a series of events the school ran for National Walk to School Week and promoted healthy snacking as well as fundraising for Lakelands’ ‘Bright Sparks’ appeal.

Staff at Beanfield Primary School are pleased that interventions put in place to boost attendance are paying dividends. The school’s figure currently stands at over 97% with still a term to go before the trophy is awarded to the Trust primary with the best attendance figure.
