Thank you to Year 6 students Bradley Ruthven, Tyler McIntosh, Denisa Mancas and Elisha Smith who kindly showed Brooke Weston's Trust CEO, Dr Andrew Campbell, around Beanfield Primary School on his ‘CEO on tour’ series of visits.
Brooke Weston Trust's CEO, Dr Andrew Campbell, was shown around Peckover Primary School by classroom ambassadors who told him about the topics they are currently studying.

Students from Beanfield and Oakley Vale Primary Schools took part in community entertainment evening ‘Big about Corby’ together with Rockingham and Studfall Primaries, NMPAT Community Band, Lesley’s school of Highland Dancing and some solo artists, to raise money for local charity Lakelands Hospice.
Mrs Kate Kendal is the Trust’s first Primary Director of English and she is looking forward to sharing ideas and developing close collaboration across our family of schools.
Hundreds of our Trust primary teachers and teaching assistants collaborated on a training day that enabled them to meet their peers and share ideas. As well as the focus on moderating writing, Reading and Maths marking across the schools, it was also an opportunity to network and share best practice within their year group specialisms.
Students from Peckover Primary School ended term in style with an amazing themed Titanic Tea Dance when everyone dressed in costumes for tea and dancing. Specially invited guests included Governors and visitors and the students prepared a grand assortment of food, all displayed on hand made and decorated cake stands.
Google Expeditions visited Beanfield Primary to take students on an immersive virtual-reality school trip, based on the UK curriculum. With Google Cardboard (a virtual reality viewer) students explored from ancient Egypt to the Great Barrier Reef and Antarctica without ever leaving the classroom, bringing the world to life.
Peckover Primary School has launched its core values to show how PROUD they are of the school and students celebrated by dressing up to show the profession they aspire to join.
Beanfield’s Unit Provision has opened a new free community group for all pre-school children with additional needs. ‘Beanies’ takes place every Thursday morning between 9.30 – 11.30.
Beanfield Primary School took part in their first ever ‘Bake Off’ and raised more than £500 for new school equipment and local hospice Lakelands as well as donating cakes to a local homeless shelter and retirement home.
Congratulations to Zoe Finnis, an early years teacher at Beanfield Primary who received a marriage proposal in her classroom.
