Beanfield Primary School is celebrating after being awarded a ‘good’ judgement by Ofsted. It achieved ‘good’ judgements in all five categories. Key findings said that ‘the dedicated principal, supported by a committed leadership team, has secured significant improvements.’ Ofsted noted that the quality of teaching is ‘typically good’ with pupils making ‘good progress.’ Governors were praised for their knowledge of, and commitment to, the school and parents are ‘appreciative’ of its work.
The Mayor of Kettering officially opened Compass Primary Academy, marking the start of its identity as a separate school with a new governing body, name, logo and uniform. Mayor, Cllr Scott Edwards gave a short welcome and performed a ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of a large crowd of parents and students, alongside Principal Jo Fallowell and interim Chair of Governors Phil Harris-Bridge.
Well done to all of our students who took part in the recent Year 2 Trust Sports competition. Four sporting students from each primary took part in a series of action packed competitions, hosted by Oakley Vale Primary School.
