KSA student meets the Princess Royal
Year 11 Student, Myles Tew was requested to be present at the most recent royal visit to Northamptonshire in the Easter holidays and he met with HRH The Princess Royal at a Corby firm.
On Monday, 30th March, Myles was summoned to be in attendance with the Lord Lieutenant for the county as HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne visited the Norbert Dentressangle, European transport, logistics, and freight forwarding company in Corby.
Myles was asked to escort The Princess Royal around the business premises as part of his role as Cadet to the Lord Lieutenant for Northamptonshire, a position he has secured for a year as a member of the Kettering Sea Cadets.
Speaking after meeting with the HRH The Princess Royal, Myles said: “I felt very honoured to be present at such a prestigious event .The Princess Royal was very nice and she spoke to me during the visit. I am really enjoying my time in the role and I look forward to being present at future royal engagements before my time as a cadet to the Lord Lieutenant for the county comes to an end.”
Helen Keen, HR manager at Nobert Dentressangle, Corby, said: “It was great to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to the site to meet our apprentices and see exactly what happens after you click ‘buy’ on a website! She is a lovely lady and took the time to talk to everyone.”
Staff at the company also commented on how Myles presented himself throughout the visit and they said he was ‘an absolute star’.
