Info: Email issue with parent comms - 17.05.24

Update - 17.05.24:

We are pleased to update you that Yahoo have confirmed the email block has been resolved and we are up and running again. Apologies to anyone impacted by this incident, which was down to a change of external email security policies. Appreciation to our external managed service provider RM and other internal colleagues involved to resolve this quickly.


There is currently an ongoing email issue with all BWT school email accounts sending emails to, and email addresses and this may impact on direct parent communication from staff via email and edulink. After emailing these domains you would receive a bounce back email from Microsoft if your message delivery has failed. The issue has been identified. We are aware of the current impact and necessary changes required to resolve this issue.

RM, our managed service provider is working to enhance the email security configuration for all BWT schools which will in turn rectify this issue with sky/yahoo. We are working as quickly as possible with additional specialist resource to resolve this technical issue. In the meantime, we do apologise for the inconvenience and advise you to contact the school directly if you have any concerns.
