Spring in our schools

Spring is definitely in the air in our schools with chicks hatching at Oakley Vale Primary School and the EYFS children at Peckover Primary having a special visit from two-week-old lambs.

The students were fascinated by the sheep and learned more from smallholder Tom McKay. He said: ‘Each year we bring the sheep just to show the little ones because some of them have never seen lambs and they give them a little pat.’

At Oakley Vale the arrival of the new chicks coincided with Year 3's special assembly about Easter where students told guests and parents about different Easter traditions around the world.
