Major Achievements

The Trust has much to be proud of. Since our formation we have grown to a family of ten schools each with their own distinct strengths and personality. We have a commitment to our five key principles and, corporately are working together, both across the age phase levels and as a Trust to increase involvement and co-operation between schools so we can share knowledge, resources and best practice and drive up performances across the board.

We are proud of our Teaching School operation, based at Brooke Weston Academy, that delivers professional courses to teachers, both in our own schools and beyond. Since designation in 2011, we have delivered training to hundreds of teachers at all stages of their profession, from NQTs up to Principal level and beyond. Some of our courses have been developed and delivered by our in-house experts and we also work with educational partners including Inspiring Leaders and Cambridge Education to deliver the best possible courses.

A major achievement is our Combined Cadet Force. This comprises recruits from all five of our secondary schools. In addition to drill and weaponry training they take part in ceremonial parades and camps. They were invited to Sandhurst to facilitate the prestigious Sovereign’s Parade, this was a rare and exceptional opportunity for a contingent from the state sector.

Other achievements include the success of Corby Business Academy's Senior Concert Band that won the Gold Award at the National Concert Band Festival, held at the Concert Hall of The Royal Northern College of Music.

Members of our senior leadership teams have been invited to education receptions at 10 Downing Street including Angela Reynolds, Principal of Corby Technical School have met with the Prime  Minister and other education chiefs.

Finally we are very proud of our school estates. We have some exceptionally designed buildings, site and facilities, all of which are maintained to the highest of standards. One of our recent innovations has been our collaboration with fellow MATs to create The Trust Network, a nationwide initiative that is aimed at sharing best practice around building projects and estates management.
