Corby Business Academy is led by Associate Principal Simon Underwood. It was opened by the Brooke Weston Trust in 2008. Corby Business Academy is a mainstream school with a Special Educational Needs unit provision for children, for example, with speech, language and communication difficulties, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
The motto for Corby Business Academy is ‘Care enough to Challenge enough’ and to encourage all of our students to 'aim high'. The Academy has a close-knit community with everyone working together to ensure that all students receive high quality education, care and support to achieve their aspirations.
The academy has developed many links with local businesses and enterprises which has led to many opportunities for its students who leave fully ready for the world of work or further study.
Corby Business Academy also has created a vibrant music department with hundreds of its students choosing to play an instrument and become a member of one the Academy’s many successful bands. Its Senior Concert Band has performed on the national stage and goes on an annual European Tour.
Its sports teams also compete exceptionally well, with many other extracurricular opportunities on offer at the end of the academy day.
The library runs many innovative events to ensure that all students develop a love of reading.
