Corby Business Academy

Corby Business Academy is led by Secondary Executive Principal Anne Hill and Heads of School, Simon Underwood and Nicola Treacy. It was opened by the Brooke Weston Trust in 2008.

Its motto is ‘Care enough to Challenge enough’ and everyone within the academy has a ‘can do’ attitude.

The academy has developed many links with local businesses and enterprises which has lead to many opportunities for its students who leave fully ready for the world of work or further study.

It also has created a vibrant music department with hundreds of its students choosing to play an instrument and become a member of one the academy’s many successful bands.  Its Senior Concert Band has performed on the national stage and goes on an annual European Tour.

Its sports teams also compete exceptionally well, with many other extracurricular opportunities on offer at the end of the academy day.

The library, which is led by celebrated school librarian Amy McKay, who was awarded the School Librarian of the Year title in 2016/17, also runs many innovative events to ensure that all students develop a love of reading.
