    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Science to join a progressive Science Department. The role would be suitable for both an experienced member of staff or NQTs.

     

    As a science academy the department’s vision is to continue to raise the profile of science across the Academy. We want to promote and grow science in the Academy, stimulating all students’ interest and enthusiasm for the subject. We are seeking candidates who share our passion for science, who will help us inspire students and be actively committed to innovative teaching and learning in and outside the classroom.

     

    You would be joining a large, popular and successful department. All our rooms are fully equipped labs with interactive whiteboards, and we see practical lessons as an essential part of learning science. All KS4 students are entered for GCSE Sciences, and we have recently expanded to two groups per year taking the separate sciences. All three sciences are popular choices at A level.

     

    The successful candidate will:

    You will be joining a small and supportive department whose profile within the Academy is growing year on year. There is good take up of both Geography and History at GCSE and A Level. Key Stage Three students follow a rotation moving across Geography, History and Ethics over the course of the year ensuring a strong foundation for further study later in students’ careers.

     

    This position would suit both NQTs and more experienced teachers seeking to broaden their experience.

    Kettering Science Academy requires a professional and self-motivated HR Administrator to join our business and finance team. The post holder will support all aspects of HR and recruitment processes at the Academy. The successful candidate will work with initiative and have previous experience administering HR information in a timely, accurate and confidential manner, have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft applications and have excellent interpersonal skills.  


    The successful candidate will:

    • work closely with the Principal to ensure the Academy complies with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
    • be a first point of contact for all staff at the Academy in relation to HR and payroll queries
    • liaise with our HR service centre, Education Personnel Management
    • provide support to senior colleagues on a broad range of HR matters including, but not limited to, disciplinary, grievance and absence issues
    • manage the recruitment process for all new colleagues
    • develop and implement effective administration processes, maintaining accurate records

     

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • up to date knowledge and understanding of HR best practice and procedures
    • relevant HR experience (ideally in an education setting)
    • confidence in the interpretation of policy and employment law and its application
    • excellent oral and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills

    We are seeking to appoint a motivated and hardworking Design Technology Teacher who is an experienced practitioner in the teaching and delivery of Food and Catering subjects.   

     

    We are looking for a conscientious and creative Design Technology Teacher who has a passion for their subject and can share their knowledge and expertise, inspiring and engaging students across the curriculum. The successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement in Design Technology through outstanding practice and providing exciting learning experiences for students.

     

    You will join a close and supportive team who are committed and passionate about growing and promoting the subject of Design Technology across the Academy. The department boasts seven purpose built, well-equipped classrooms and each classroom has its own interactive smart whiteboard. There is a dedicated DT Technician in the department who is able to support staff in preparing materials and resources for their practical lessons.

     

     The successful candidate will:

    • Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with the desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve and succeed in science.
    • Have experience teaching at Key Stage 3, and be able to demonstrate experience teaching Food at Key Stage 4. Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential.
    • Be willing to go above and beyond what is expected, encouraging students to achieve as highly as possible.
    • Possess a tenacious ambition for their students, seeking to give them exciting and engaging opportunities for learning.

Our team of invigilators ensures that all examinations at the Academy are conducted in line with regulations. Our Invigilators contribute to the smooth running of all examinations, including mocks throughout the year. The Exams Officer provides support and guidance to the team of invigilators.
