Kettering Science Academy boasts one of the most exceptional school buildings in North Northamptonshire. This building along with our dedicated  staff and has given us the all of the raw materials we need to create an inspirational learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to succeed.

Our aim  is to make learning exciting and enjoyable so that students can thrive and fulfil their potential. We offer a wide and varied curriculum covering enhancing the National Curriculum offer with a range of additional opportunities, putting particular emphasis on science and enterprise activities.

This emphasis, alongside an extensive extracurricular activities, provides breadth and depth at all levels for our students. The opportunities we provide at KSA offer every student the skills and support that they need for the greatest chance of future success.

In 2020 the facilities we offer students at Kettering Science Academy were enhanced by the opening of our dedicated Sixth Form block.

    Kettering Science Academy requires a Teaching Assistant Level 3, you will have expertise working with students with a range of special educational needs. The successful candidate will be required to work one-to-one, in small groups as well as supporting other students within the school. They will be a well-motivated and compassionate individual capable of working both as part of a bigger team and independently. The successful candidate will join a supportive and friendly team and be experienced in supporting the delivery of the curriculum.

     

    You will be responsible for promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students and show awareness of complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection.

     

    We will consider applications from candidates who are currently Level 2 Teaching Assistants and willing to work towards their Level 3 qualification.

    Kettering Science Academy is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join the team to provide outstanding financial administrative support. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant experience and/or qualifications appropriate to this role and will be highly numerate with excellent ICT, organisational and interpersonal skills. Experience of working with school finance systems would be advantageous. Key to success will be an ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly and confidently at all levels. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the role. .

    The PA to the Principal will also be expected to undertake the role of Clerk to Governors, which will involve approximately four meetings a year that take place after school hours. This extra duty will receive an additional payment of £100.00 per meeting.

    • Collect and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.

    About KSA Science Faculty:

    We work as a close knit team to deliver and continually review our carefully crafted, knowledge rich curriculum with enthusiasm and care.  Our team is led by Heads of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, bringing identity and curriculum expertise throughout the key stages. 

    The faculty consists of 12 purpose built labs supported by a fully serviced prep room.

    We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, highly motivated and high quality Teacher of Social Sciences with a Health and Social Care Specialism to join our Health & Wellbeing team. 

     

    The successful candidate will:

     

    • Have a passion Health and Social Care
    • Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with the desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve and succeed in Health and Social Care.
    • Have experience teaching Health and Social Care across Key Stage 4, and experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential.
    • Be willing to go above and beyond what is expected, encouraging students to see the value of Health and Social Care in everyday life.
    • Possess a tenacious ambition for their students, seeking to give them exciting and engaging opportunities for learning.
    • An excellent subject knowledge and have proven themselves an ‘outstanding’ classroom practitioner.
    • A strong track record of improving outcomes for students and raising standards.

    • Have experience teaching mathematics across Key Stage 3, and be able to demonstrate experience teaching at Key Stage 4. Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential.

    •  An excellent subject knowledge and have proven themselves   as a highly effective classroom practitioner.
