Our aim  is to make learning exciting and enjoyable so that students can thrive and fulfil their potential.     Following the recent departure of one of our Curriculum Officers, we are looking to appoint to this role.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in teaching or equally someone with more experience within education looking for a new and exciting challenge.

    We require a self-motivated, flexible candidate to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team. Our Curriculum Officers are key members of our team. They make a valuable contribution across the academy ensuring that students continue to learn in a supported environment when a dedicated class teacher is unavailable for the period.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Supervise students on a lesson-by-lesson basis in departments across the Academy.
    • Ensure students remain on task and make progress during their lessons.
    • Assist students with their work, helping them understand tasks and supporting them in their learning.
    • Manage student behaviour and follow up on good and poor behaviour issues according to Academy procedures and policies.
    • Be available for tasks and deployment for such things as: accompanying Academy trips, workings with students with SEN, invigilating examinations, collecting and displaying work.
    • There may be a requirement to lead a tutor group.

    We are seeking to appoint a HLTA for Wellbeing and SEMH to collaborate with teachers in planning and delivering programmes of teaching and learning activities for students involved with the intervention project.

     

    The successful candidate will:

     

    • Deliver programmes to support behaviour, wellbeing and social emotional mental health needs
    • Be responsible for pupils who are not working to the normal timetable
    • Be responsible for assessing, recording and reporting on development, progress and attainment of these students.
    • Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate.
    • Use teaching and learning objectives to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate.

    Kettering Science Academy is looking to appoint a Student Support Officer (SSO) to join its pastoral team. The current team of Student Support Officers provide a holistic approach to pastoral support by assisting with student behaviour, attendance and welfare.

    If you are self-motivated and passionate about improving outcomes for all students, we would love to hear from you.

     

    Our SSO’s are part of a wider team within the Academy, working closely with a team of Progress Leaders and a Vice Principal with responsibility for behaviour, attendance and welfare. SSO’s work with designated year groups of students and a link Progress Leader. This helps develop positive and productive relationships with students. The successful candidates will be a first point of contact for students, families and other agencies.

     

    The successful candidate will:

     

    • Be an excellent communicator, capable of working effectively with students, colleagues and families
    • Keep accurate records of all dealings with students and families

    Kettering Science Academy requires a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. You will have expertise working with students with significant behavioural, social and emotional difficulties. The successful candidate will be required to work one-to-one, in small groups as well as supporting other students within the school. They will be a well-motivated and compassionate individual capable of working both as part of a bigger team and independently. The successful candidate will join a supportive and friendly team and be experienced in supporting the delivery of the curriculum.

     

    You will be responsible for promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students and show awareness of complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection.

    • Be responsible for delivering a comprehensive site management service to both schools, deploying site team colleagues and resources effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of both schools.
    • Develop strong and effective working relationships with contractors and specialists
    • The role will require both planned preventative maintenance and a proactive approach to project work so that our schools remain great places for our children and young people to learn
    • Have a significant focus on compliance with statutory regulations, ensuring we maintain safe places for our students, colleagues and visitors. Working with and reporting to central colleagues will be part of the role and support our strong governance culture.

    We are seeking to appoint a motivated and hardworking Design Technology Teacher who is an experienced practitioner in the teaching and delivery of DT.

     

    We are looking for a conscientious and creative Design Technology Teacher who has a passion for their subject and can share their knowledge and expertise, inspiring and engaging students across the curriculum. The successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement in Design Technology through outstanding practice and providing exciting learning experiences for students.

     

    You will join a close and supportive team who are committed and passionate about growing and promoting the subject of Design Technology across the Academy. The department boasts seven purpose built, well-equipped classrooms and each classroom has its own interactive smart whiteboard. There is a dedicated DT Technician in the department who is able to support staff in preparing materials and resources for their practical lessons.

     

     The successful candidate will:

    • Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with the desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve and succeed in science.
    • Have experience in teaching more than one discipline at Key Stage 3, and be able to demonstrate experience in teaching at Key Stage 4. Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential.
    • Be willing to go above and beyond what is expected, encouraging students to achieve as highly as possible.

    Kettering Science Academy is looking to appoint a Student Support Officer (SSO) to join its pastoral team. The current team of Student Support Officers provide a holistic approach to pastoral support by assisting with student behaviour, attendance and welfare.

    Our SSO’s are part of a wider team within the Academy, working closely with a team of Progress Leaders and a Vice Principal with responsibility for behaviour, attendance and welfare.     We require a self-motivated, flexible candidate to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team. Our Curriculum Officers are key members of our team. They make a valuable contribution across the academy ensuring that students continue to learn in a supported environment when a dedicated class teacher is unavailable for the period.

    • Supervise students on a lesson-by-lesson basis in departments across the Academy.
    • Ensure students remain on task and make progress during their lessons.
    • Assist students with their work, helping them understand tasks and supporting them in their learning.
    • Manage student behaviour and follow up on good and poor behaviour issues according to Academy procedures and policies.
    • Be available for tasks and deployment for such things as: accompanying Academy trips, workings with students with SEN, invigilating examinations, collecting and displaying work.

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of English to join an innovative and creative English department. The role would be suitable for either an experienced member of staff or an NQT.

     

    The English department is a supportive department and the team works collaboratively together to achieve the best results for students. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can be an effective team member and contribute to the continued growth and success of the department, inspiring and engaging students in their learning of English.  

     

    The successful candidate will:

    • Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with the desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve and succeed in English
    • Have experience teaching Key Stage 3 and be able to demonstrate experience teaching at Key Stage 4
    • Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential
    • Be willing to go above and beyond what is expected, encouraging students to achieve as highly as possible
    • Possess a tenacious ambition for their students, seeking to give them exciting and engaging opportunities for learning
