Brooke Weston Trust is proud to lead Northamptonshire Teaching School Hub, the counties DfE appointed centre for excellence in teacher & leader development.

What We Do

Our teacher development reaches over 300 schools across Northamptonshire and beyond, bringing the most recent research into every classroom.

Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with Teach First

We work with expert training partners to offer high quality, school‑centred Initial Teacher Training. Our programmes prepare new teachers with the knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours needed to thrive in the classroom from day one.

We work with Teach First to deliver a carefully structured two year programme designed to support Early Career Teachers and their mentors. Our ECTP offer increases confidence, builds secure foundational practice and supports strong teacher retention.

Appropriate Body Service

Northamptonshire Teaching School Hub provides an Appropriate Body Service for the induction period of Early Career Teachers.

Appropriate bodies support the schools and teachers they work with in a variety of ways and their core functions are central to ensuring that schools provide adequate support to teachers at the start of their teaching career.

National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) with Ambition Institute

We offer the full suite of DfE funded NPQs for aspiring, new and experienced leaders with our partner in teacher development, Ambition Institute. Through expert facilitation and research informed content, our NPQs build leadership capability across curriculum, pastoral, and executive leadership roles. Find out more here.

Where We Are Based

Located on the grounds of Brooke Weston Academy, our Teaching School Hub operates from a purpose‑designed professional learning space. The Hub includes a bright, modern training room equipped to comfortably host up to 50 delegates, creating an ideal environment for professional development, collaboration and leadership training.

Our facilities support high‑quality delivery across all our programmes, whether Initial Teacher Training, Early Career Teacher Programme sessions or National Professional Qualification Conferences & clinics.
