Our Mission, Vision & Values

At Brooke Weston Trust, we are united by a shared commitment to transforming lives through education. Our schools work together to provide every child, regardless of background, with the knowledge, confidence and skills to thrive.

Our Vision

To equip every student with the qualifications, skills and self-belief - their ‘tickets for life’ - by creating inclusive and ambitious learning communities where every child, regardless of background, can unlock their potential and shape their future.

Our Mission

Our mission is to transform educational performance in communities where we work through our long-term commitment to improve student achievement and remove barriers to learning while providing opportunities for personal development.

Our Values

Each of our five values shapes the culture across all Brooke Weston Trust schools:

Core values 1

We believe in the importance of a relentless determination to succeed.

In Action:

  • Year 5 students connect with local employers to explore future careers.

  • Sixth Form mentors guide younger pupils in setting and achieving goals.

What this looks like in our schools:

Our students are supported to fully achieve their potential and live rewarding lives. We value each student equally and ensure no-one is left behind.

We have high expectations of every student and staff member.

In Action:

  • Trust-wide STEM projects like our carbon-capture initiatives.

  • Debate clubs and structured speaking activities build confidence and literacy.

What this looks like in our schools:

We believe in the virtues of professionalism, hard work, and commitment. Everyone knows they must live up to the trust we place in them.

Our staff share an absolute commitment to ensure each child receives the best possible education.

In Action:

  • Teachers participate in peer observations and Trust-wide workshops.

  • Staff access coaching and evidence-based training to refine inclusive strategies.

What this looks like in our schools:

We teach under the guiding principle: ‘Is this good enough for my child?

As a Trust, our schools work together to support each other, develop innovative ideas, and share best practice.

In Action:

  • Reading buddies connect primary and secondary students to build fluency.

  • Cross-Trust networks share curriculum expertise and resources.

What this looks like in our schools:

Collaboration multiplies potential, creating a strong, inclusive community.

We believe in developing not just great students, but great citizens. At Brooke Weston Trust, we actively encourage our young people to make a positive difference in their communities and the wider world. Through acts of kindness, social action, leadership opportunities, and real-world learning, we empower students to contribute meaningfully to society—now and in the future.

The BWT Way

The BWT Way

“Our mission is to transform educational performance in communities where we work through our long-term commitment to improve student achievement and remove barriers to learning while providing opportunities for personal development.”

Meet our Team

We ask ourselves two powerful questions every day:

“Is this good enough for my own child?”
– Ensuring high standards and relentless focus on quality.

“Am I caring enough to challenge enough?”
– Balancing support and high expectations to unlock potential.

These principles guide every decision, every lesson and every student interaction.

How We Deliver Our Mission

Our commitment to inclusion is demonstrated through specialist SEN units, mentoring schemes and targeted support programmes that help every student overcome barriers to learning.

To strengthen literacy and reading, we offer debate clubs, use assistive technology, and run reading buddy schemes that build confidence and fluency across all ages.

We invest in professional practice and pedagogy by encouraging peer observations, providing coaching opportunities, and collaborating through the Northamptonshire Teaching School Hub to ensure our staff continually develop and share best teaching methods.

Our family of schools

The Brooke Weston Trust is a family of primary and secondary schools in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. All our schools work hard to provide the best educational opportunities and life chances for the young people in their care. As a Trust we seek to ‘make a difference’ and are proud to work with children of all backgrounds and abilities.
