Local Governing Boards
The Trust Board holds ultimate accountability for the performance of all academies within the Trust, while recognising that Local Governing Boards (LGBs) offer valuable local insight and challenge that the Board alone cannot provide.
Local governance plays a key role in supporting the implementation of the Trust Strategy, focusing on four key areas: Standards, Safeguarding, SEND, and Stakeholders. Governors provide valuable insight into the experiences of students, parents/carers, staff, and the wider community. Local Governing Boards (LGBs) meet a minimum of three times per year.
The Board of Directors maintains strong links with LGBs through the Chairs’ Forum, where all academy Chairs meet three times a year. This forum facilitates broad discussions around Trust-wide governance, training needs, strategic developments across the Trust and individual academies, and the sharing of best practice.
